Lost 1st Tooth

It was just a matter of time before it was my youngest to start losing teeth. I don't understand why but I just get so excited when it's a first for them still to this day. My baby girl lost her first tooth! I thought it would never give. You should of seen the look on her face. My mom had bought the girls this little box with hand painted tooth fairy across the lid. So cute! It has a cushion in side where you place the tooth. Alliosn has heard me go over the instructions with my eldest. As I was explaining her little eyes lit up and she was listened to every detail. I explained, "Make sure you put the tooth on the pillow inside and lay the box on the dresser. Sometime in the middle of the night the tooth fairy will appear and check to see if you have been keeping it clean." She said, "mommy I have been taking good care of them, but sometimes I eat too much candy!" I told her that was fine, we will see what she thinks.

Now we all know about what is real and what is not. I was trying to wait up until she and her sister was in a deep sleep and sneak in there and exchange the tooth for a dollar. This didnt end up so smooth. She snuck in our bed that night and well...I smooth fell asleep and didn't realize it until my daughter jumped up and ran to her box. Luckily thought fast. "ALLISON, go brush your teeth before you do anything else!" She just looked, "GO!" She headed to the bathroom. I couldnt believe I plum forgot. My husband and I was racing around trying to find a dollar and couldn't find one. All we had was a 10. I was not going to give her $10 for one tooth. My eldest would surely say she was gipped. I remembered I had a dollar coin in the car, so I raced to get it. It wasn't 10 seconds after I placed the coin in the box and she was prancing in the room to see if she did well. I wasnt doing so well.. I had sweet pouring down my face.

She looked in the box and looked at me with disappointment. I said, "what is wrong now?" She said, "she only left me a quarter!" "I really wanted a dollar." She started to get upset and say Bella....., I quickly stopped her. "Allison let me take a look at this." I showed her the writing on the coin and compared this coin to a quarter. She quickly changed tune.

Ahhhh. Kids.. This I will remember forever.
